Chris Sale pitched his best game of 2019, which drove the Boston Red Sox to a dominate 8-0 victory over the Kansas City Royals. Boston has won the first two games of the series in commanding fashion.

Sale pitched another immaculate inning; his second this season. He went nine innings of zero earned run baseball with twelve strikeouts and zero walks. The lefty lowered his ERA to 3.84.

On offense, Boston collected 11 hits with the highlight being a Rafael Devers homerun. The homer, which came in the 7th inning, is his 9th of the year. Meanwhile, Jackie Bradley Jr., Sandy Leon, Andrew Benintendi and Devers all hit doubles in the contest.

The Boston Red Sox take on the Kansas City Royals at 1:15 p.m. eastern. Ryan Weber looks to bounce back from his troubled start against the Cleveland Indians.
