Breaking: Dylan Bundy to the Angels

Per Ken Rosenthal, the Los Angeles Angels have acquired starting pitcher Dylan Bundy from the Baltimore Orioles

The Angels pitching staff struggled last year, and Dylan Bundy has shown flashes of being a great pitcher throughout his career. Bundy has always been snake-bitten by the home run ball as he’s allowed a whopping 96 home runs since the start of 2017, including a league-leading 41 home runs in 2018.

As It stands right now, the Angels rotation looks like this:

Andrew Heaney

Griffin Canning

Shohei Ohtani

Dylan Bundy

Patrick Sandoval

As for the Orioles, they acquired four minor league prospects; not the worst investment for a rebuilding team. Of those prospects, easily the most attractive is reliever Isaac Mattson who had a solid 2019 campaign and made it to Triple-A.

The Angels have also been linked to Gerrit Cole, so this move may have the start of bigger moves to come.
