The Red Sox got another win tonight, their 81st of the year. They’ve won 10 of their last 11 and 25 of their last 30. That is insane. Things really can’t get much better for this team.

Tonight, it was the offense that really paved the road to victory. The Sox put up 4 runs in the 3rd inning on a 2 run double by Mitch Moreland and a couple of sacrifice flies by Andrew Benintendi and Xander Bogaerts.

Rafael Devers went deep in his first game back from the DL. He hit a 2 run missile in the 6th inning to make it a 7-0 game at the time. He also stroked a double in his first at bat.

Bogaerts got his 3rd RBI of the game with a double in the 7th. J.D. Martinez added an RBI single in the 8th, 1 of his 3 hits in the game tonight.

Brian Johnson gave the team a really strong start tonight too. He threw 7 innings and only got into some trouble in the last couple. He gave up a 2 run homer to Teoscar Hernandez in the 6th and a 3 run homer to Randal Grichuk in the 7th.

Even still, Johnson was able to pick up his 3rd win of the season. Ryan Brasier and Joe Kelly pitched scoreless innings out of the bullpen to lock down the 10-5 win.

Tomorrow, the Sox will go for the sweep of the Jays behind Rick Porcello, who looks to pick up his 15th win of the season.
