Out of the Park Baseball 19 review and giveaway

Out of the Park Baseball 19 is a grand slam of a game

At this stage of my life, my wild, childish dreams are starting to fade into mere memories. As a youngster, I believed in fairy tales, dreaming, yearning to touch the moon and feel one with the stars. I imagined 700-foot dingers hit so far that StatCast would come up with an “error message” while trying to track how far the ball went. In another outlandish dream, I glared out into Pennsylvania Avenue from my desk with graying hair and an unwavering resolve. Prevailing above all of these thoughts, images and sensations, however, was one dream.

It was a dream so powerful that it made me giddy as the sun rose in the morning and budding with excitement and purpose as I regretfully closed my eyes at night. With Michael Lewis’ Moneyball and Jonah Keri’s Extra 2% on my nightstand, my life direction was clear. I was going to be the General Manger of the Boston Red Sox.

For a decade and a half, this was my one true aspiration. I studied baseball analytics like the rest of my grade studied actual school subjects. Theo Epstein and Billy Beane were as known to me as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were. The concept of the “Founding Fathers” is relative, after all.

Correspondingly, I watched roughly 150 Red Sox games annually, infuriating the other kids who wanted to bask in the beauty of the summer. Basically, I had tunnel vision at a way too early age for a youngster like myself.

This dream, like the others before it, eventually subsided. It was a gradual process but the cracks in the foundation came into light. I will not go into detail about the specifics of these “cracks,” because then you will know all of my flaws. I want you to hold onto the illusion that I am flawless. Just kidding. Flat out, I was just not intelligent enough to be the General Manger for a baseball team. Do you guys really comprehend how smart these people truly are? Wicked smart to the highest degree.

Anyway, on particularly dark and lonely nights, I sometimes felt a pang of longing for this unrealized goal. It had haunted me for years, hindering my ability to receive ample sleep. It was a problem and something needed to change. Either I had to reframe my cognition or change something behavioral. The former was too much work, but the latter was plausible. I searched for the answer, crossing oceans in my pursuit. At one point, I literally ran into John Jaso.

Nothing worked, though. I saw everything there was to see and came out even more lost. That is, of course, until I discovered Out of the Park Baseball 19 and became the Red Sox General Manager.

Out of the Park Baseball 19 is now available worldwide and you need to get your hands on it. Do you not want to prove to yourself, and even the world, that you can run the Boston Red Sox better than Dave Dombroski? Well, here is your chance.

You must have heard of OOTP by now but, if you have not, that is okay, too. I am here to inform you of the polarizing baseball simulation game, which well over a hundred thousand people played last year alone!

What is Out of the Park Baseball?

An official licensee of MLB.com, Milb.com and the Major League Baseball Players Association, Out of the Park Developments is a simulation and management game development company which began in 1999. Its premier baseball simulation game, Out of the Park Baseball, is the second highest-rated PC game of all time.

OOTP provides you the opportunity to run an entire MLB franchise from any season dating back to 1871. In other words, you can be the Boston Red Stocking or even right the wrong of the 1986 World Series. If that does not pique your interest, then how about running an International League team? You have the opportunity to do that, as well! Lastly, if you want to completely create an entirely new league, you have that option.

You can choose the level of responsibility you have over your club or club(s). For example, with my Red Sox franchise, I decided to be the manager and general manager of the club. I set the lineup and pitching staff while also controlling the roster transactions. Bobby Poyner was my lefty specialist in the ‘pen and Brock Holt was shipped elsewhere. Surprisingly, I got a pretty good deal for him.

Anyway, it is the most in-depth baseball simulation game I have ever played. The game is so intricate and realistic it transcends what I thought was possible in a game like this. You will be blown away by the level of detail, which can leave you completely and utterly consumed in the endless enjoyment this game has to offer.

Out of the Park Baseball is a game that should be experienced by any and all baseball fans. Life is precious and fleeting and this is a game that will make it more fruitful.

What’s new with OOTP 19?

Final review of OOTP 19

This is the best game I have ever played, hands down, and it is not just because I am an avid baseball fan. You will truly not find a game as comprehensive and that feels so real. It seems like Out of the Park Development thought of everything with this game, encompassing all the duties managers and general mangers have. I give it as many stars a person can possibly give.

You will not be disappointed with this game and you will never get bored. With so much to do, getting tired of OTTP 19 is simply not feasible. It will stimulate the baseball fan and strategist in you in ways you did not think were possible. Out of the Park Baseball makes it possible.

I challenge you to run the Red Sox better than me. Currently, I have run our beloved franchise into $30 million in debt and missed the playoffs next year. No one will take David Price‘s contract off my hands, even if I offer the rights to my soul. I will keep you updated on how this proceeds.

Out of the Park Baseball 19 continues to get better every single year, while still remaining the best game on the planet.
